CubePoints 1.2.5 Beta 1 released!!
Saturday, April 18th, 2009 by Peter ZhangAlright, it’s been a long time. We admit that. CubePoints 1.2.5 b1 is finally here, with the following features:
- [Feature] Reset all points to 0
- [Feature] Number of points given for registration
- [Change] Doesn’t remove white space in user names (Thanks Corey)
Okay, fine, I know it is only a small release, but I hope that through this, we can express the message that “we are not giving up CubePoints”.
The language files and the docs are yet to be updated yet. New language lines are as follows:
The amount of points of all your users would be reset to 0. Are you sure you want to continue? This action cannot be redone! Reset all points Number of points new members receive for registering Do not add points for new registrations
Report any bugs you see! Have fun with the new release, and we will come back with more updates! Download it here

Thank you for this encouraging message :-)
Just a question,
I would like to award ALL commenters, not just registered users, with points so I can make a monthly ranking with prices..
Is this somehow possible with this great plugin?
cheers
Tom

Hey Tom,
Thanks for your interest towards Cubepoints!
However, as mentioned quite a few times in the CubePoints page ( http://techcube.net/cubepoints/ ), that feature is a little bit hard to feasiable, since there is no definite element available for the plugin to trace.
We will still try our best to implement some other great features though.

hi. i saw in a previous comments a code to get the top 10 users but for did not work.
i use wp 2.8.1 and the beta 1.2.5.
also i would like help me to rank users to have a rank acording points. cp_displayRank()
i don’t know php but this i’m sure is very easy to make.
somethink like
if user have points between 0-25 then get rank 1
25-50 rank 2 etc
and then call the rank with thanks
dig dig dig it :)

I am going to delete your previous two comments and combine them with the first one.
It is certainly not “very easy to make”, but feasible. I’ll see if I can include it in the next release.
