3D Camera Unveiled

Sunday, December 7th, 2008 by crunchball

Fujifilm has announced a 3D capturing camera that will capture images in both 2D and 3D at the same time!

It has 2 CCD sensors on the front face of the camera to mimic how our eyes work and by syncing the image together, it will be able to create a 3D image. It has a viewing function that adjusts how the image enters your eyes, so you do not need any of those awkward and ill-designed 3D goggles to view your images. It even comes with printing system that allows you to print 3D looking images by displaying different viewpoints when looking at the printout at different angles.

After 2 years, M8 is finally out!

Saturday, December 6th, 2008 by Peter Zhang

Since its announcement date, which is in 2006, Meizu M8, nicknamed the “Chiense iPhone”, is finally released officially. Various review websites in China and nearby regions such as PCOnline.com.cn and ePrice.com.hk have already got some sample machines to review on.

So what does it really look like? Although I don’t have a M8 myself, I will just sum up what the reviews have been talking about and talk about it here.

Nokia N97

Friday, December 5th, 2008 by crunchball

Nokia has just revealed its latest phone in the N series line up, the N97.

It runs on the latest symbian 9.5 and has touchscreen capabilities.

It will fulfill almost anything you need:

  • It comes with a full qwerty keyboard that slides out on side of the device a la Xperia X1 from Sony Ericsson, making messaging a breeze
  • For photography needs, it comes with a 5MP camera. Personally, I’m glad that Nokia did not choose to use a sensor that offers a much higher pixel count, as this would often mean more, lousier sensors crammed on a same-sized sensor chip. Hence, I think we can assume that the quality of the camera will better than those latest, “best”, 8MP cellphones
  • It comes with 32GB INTERNAL onboard storage, with a Micro-sd storage slot
  • It runs widgets, and many useful apps similar to those on the Google Android and iPhone will be available soon, so it’s a big plus
  • Its web browser supports flash
  • However, the set back is the great price typical of the N9+ models

In my opinion, it really does make the iPhone looks like a toy and shouts out that its a serious phone. It looks a little too serious though as its rather blocky and does not share the bling in its design with a rather boring grey casing.

Here’s a demo of the N97:

Saturday, October 11th, 2008 by Peter Zhang

Hey guys,

Just a few days ago, Nokia announced its new Nokia 5800 XM, with the new Symbian S60 v5 system. All I got to say is “amazing”. The awesome looking appeaance with the whole new UI, if it isn’t an iPhone-killer, what is it then?
