My adventure with my Atheros AR424x and Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex
Saturday, November 1st, 2008 by Peter ZhangOkay, fine. I admit it, I am not a Linux nerd at all. Just take today as an example, I spent my whole day trying to figure out how to get my wireless card working.
I have an Acer Aspire 4520, with an AR424x wireless adapter. Right after installation, I went on googling about installing wireless cards drivers. From my past experience, I downloaded ndiswrapper right from the start, installed the windows driver, but no go. There are no signs of “wlan0″, “ath0″ or any other names regarding the wireless cards
